“Okay where are we going?”

“Just hold on!” Misa said. She was walking through the halls of the palace while she pulled a young woman by the wrist. The woman had long brown hair with part of it covering her eye in a mysterious way; she had brown eyes and wore a black and gray shirt and a gray skirt. Her name was Tamaro Yagami. Yes, Yagami, as in Light Yagami, she’s his cousin.

“But Misa! I don’t have any idea where we are!” Tamaro said.

“I told you! Now come on! We…” She stopped.

“What?” Tamaro asked, she looked up, as, her head was down. In front of her stood a woman with long black hair in a blue dress. Princess Invidia.

“Hi!” Misa said.

“Who’s she?” Invidia asked.

“Oh this is Tamaro. She’s my friend….”

Tamaro bowed to Invidia, startling her. “Yes, my name’s Tamaro Yagami, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Yagami…” Invidia mused. “You know a boy named Light? He works in the kitchen.”

“Yes, Ma’am he’s my cousin.” Tamaro said.

‘I like her’ Invidia thought. ‘She’s actually polite…’

Tamaro looked up at her.

“Well anyway, I’m Princess Invidia, and with that said I have a few rules, not that you’ll follow them… But: Stay out of my bathroom. Especially when I’m in the bath! Don’t touch my wine. Keep out of the dining room and kitchen at all times. Stay out my closet and my room. Especially when I’m asleep! Don’t mess with the servants. Don’t go through or steal my clothes.” She shot a look at Misa and went on. “Don’t wake me up when I’m asleep.Stay out of staff meetings. Don’t EVER call me cute, that’s my father’s job, oh and don’t bug my Father. That’s my job. Got it?”

Tamaro nodded.

“Good, now I have a meeting to go to…” She muttered as she walked off.

Misa turned to Tamaro. “You wanna see her room?”

“But Misa, she said…” Tamaro tried to say something but Misa interrupted.

“She says a lot of things, but that doesn’t mean I listen. Besides her room is so cool! And have you seen her bathroom?” Misa grabbed Tamaro’s wrist and pulled her upstairs. After a couple minutes they made their way to Invidia’s suite, Tamaro’s eyes winded.

“Oh my god…” She said. “Look at this place…all the dark red color…” She sat on the bed. “And this bed! Why does a she need such a big bed?”

“She’s the Princess; of course she gets a big bed! But that’s not as good as the bathroom!” Misa pulled her up and dragged her into Invidia’s bathroom.

“That’s a bathtub?!” Tamaro asked.

“I know. It seems more like a pool. You wanna go see what Light does?”

“Sure, I was wondering where he’d been anyway.”

Misa left and Tamaro followed, eventually coming with her into the kitchen, where Light and L were sitting at a counter. Eating.

“Why do you get free food?” Tamaro asked.

“Why are you here?” Light looked at her. “I thought I got rid of you and your jokes.” He teased.

“I should ask you why you’re here. Trying to hide from your virgin problems?”

Misa and L snickered.

“Oh shut up…” Light muttered.

“Hey get back to work!” One of the chefs said. “We have to have this stuff ready for dinner tonight!”

Light nodded as a small plate came his way.

“Fancy food…” Tamaro whispered to Misa.

Misa nodded. “I now, but we can’t eat any of it…it’s…”

Misa stopped as Invidia walked into the kitchen muttering to herself. “Stupid generals…cancel my meeting…well …” She stopped when she noticed them. “What are you two doing here?”

“I only wanted to see Light…I’m sorry” Tamaro bowed her head in an apology.

“It’s not you that I’m worried about; you seem a lot calmer than them anyway…” Invidia said as she walked past them and over to a series of shelves.

“Uh…Princess, your dinner is in about two hours I don’t think it’s a good idea to…” One of the interns tried to say.

“Shut up.” Invidia said as she reached up. ‘Stupid shelf…’ She stood almost on one foot trying to get what looked like some kind of red berry sauce to Misa.

Tamaro watched her. She was about to turn to Light when something came to her…

-Tamaro’s Vision-

Invidia could just touch the top of the jar. She made a grab for it and it tipped.

Invidia screamed and backed up while it fell and broke on the counter, splattering all over and causing Invidia to trip. She screamed again as she looked at her hand, which had been cut by one of the glass shards, and began to cry…

“No…” Tamaro said when she came back to reality and saw the jar about ready to tip. “Light! Grab her!” She ordered.

Light pulled Invidia back by the arm.

Invidia fell and so did the jar. The sauce splattered a bit on her dress, but the jar fell nowhere near her. “What just happened?” she asked.

“I saved you from getting hurt! That’s what happened!” Tamaro said.

“But…how did you?”

Before Tamaro could answer Zordar came in.

“Invidia, are you all right? I heard a crash.”

Invidia got up. “I’m fine, Father…I just…”

“You sure?” Zordar put his hands on her shoulders and looked her over. “Okay, you’re fine…”

“I told you.”

He hugged her. “I’m just making sure; you do have to be careful in here.”

‘Aw! That’s so cute…’ Tamaro thought. Not daring to say anything.

Invidia nodded. “Right.” She backed off of him and Zordar turned to leave.

“I’ll see you at dinner; I have something to take care of.”

“Okay…” He left and so did Invidia. Tamaro turned to Misa.

“Who’s he?”

“Prince Zordar, he’s her father and I don’t know why he’s green either, everyone but Invidia is.”

“Hmm…” Tamaro said as Misa led her out.

Later that night Invidia was in the bath, telling Shamura what happened.

“I don’t get it…” She said and she rested her head on her arms, hanging over the edge of the tub. (Okay, she was leaning on the floor.) “How did she know?”

“Maybe it was just a coincidence.” Shamura said.

Invidia shrugged. “Maybe…” She looked over to the side. “That candle went out.” She said, pointing to one of the blue candles on the rim of the bath.

Shamura went off to find her lighter and Misa came in with Tamaro.

“What did I tell you?!” Invidia snapped.

“I know…but…” Misa paused. “Hmm…it smells nice in here…”

“That’s what candles do, dummy,” Invidia said.

Tamaro just stood there, Invidia looked at her.

“Come here,” she said.

“Hm?” Tamaro went over.

“I like you, you’re clam and don’t mess around much. A nice change from what usually happens…but tell me… How did you now that the jar was going to fall?”

“Oh, well… I’m psychic.” Tamaro said.

“Right…” Invidia said.

“No, it’s true! I’ve had these powers ever since I was little, I don’t understand them but they come in handy.”

“Whatever…” Invidia muttered.“I’ll believe when I really see it…now if you don’t mind, leave.”

Tamaro nodded. “Yes Princess. Come on Misa.”

Misa nodded and left first, Tamaro followed.

“Hey, Tamaro…” Invidia said.

“Huh?”

“You can call me Invidia, I like you so titles aren’t really necessary to me.”

Tamaro nodded and Shamura came back, but not with a lighter, with a towel.

“You need to get out,” she said.

“But…”

Shamura looked at her and Invidia took the towel. “Fine…” she grumbled.

A couple minutes later Invidia sat in front of Shamura, in her towel while Shamura rubbed her head with another one. She pulled it off.

“There, now all we need to do it get you dressed and fix your hair again.”

“My hair is fine, it’s just damp…” Invidia said as she tried to get up.

Shamura pushed her back down. “No, you stay here, I have something for you.”

“What?” Invidia asked.

“Just wait…” Shamura left and came back a couple minutes later with something hanging over her arm and a box in her hands. “I picked this up for you on my way here, it looked cute and I thought it suited you. Try it on.”

She handed it to Invidia and Invidia put it on and twirled around. It was cute. Shamura had given her a long, black spaghetti strap nightgown that stopped at her feet with a little bit of lace around the chest area, enough to make it look cute but not showy or sexy.

“I like it! Thanks!” Invidia hugged her.

“I knew you would, there’s something else that goes with it though.” She opened the box and handed Invidia a pair of black heeled slippers and they weren’t tacky either, they were actually quite cute. The heels were small and the strap was a soft, black satin-like material, no fuzz on it at all.

“Cute…” Invidia put them on too.

“You look so nice!” Shamura said.

Invidia smiled at her. “Thanks, I’m gonna go show my Father…” She left and Shamura started cleaning up. ‘Hm…Who knew that could make heeled slippers that weren’t tacky, and that I can walk in!Invidia thought as she headed down the hall to her Father’s sitting room.

“Father?” She said when she came in, lightly knocking on the door.

“Yes, Princess?” he asked, not looking up from the paper he was reading.

“Look what Shamura got for me.”

“Huh?” He looked up and Invidia twirled on the flat part of her slippers.

“Cute, huh?”

“Very cute and beautiful. You look so much like your mother.”

Invidia went over and sat on the couch with him. “Mama used to dress like this?”

“Sometimes…come here…”

Invidia moved into his lap and looked up at him.

“Of course on Sabera it was lot sexier…”

“Father!” Invidia hit him. “It’s supposed to be cute! Not sexy!”

“It is cute! I didn’t say it wasn’t” Zordar said, then, he tickled her.

“Father! Stop!” Invidia squealed and giggled as he ‘attacked’ her.

“All right, I’ll stop…” He stopped and hugged her.

“Uh, sorry to interrupt, but…”

Both looked over as Misa and Tamaro entered the room.

“Where’s Tamaro going to sleep? I don’t think there’s enough room for three of us in a cell…”

“Wait, who’s Tamaro?” Zordar asked.

“Misa’s friend. Claims to be psychic.” Invidia said.

“I am psychic.” Tamaro said.

“Whatever, you can sleep in one of the guest rooms along this hall.”

“Huh?!” Misa looked at her.

“I like her, if I like someone I treat them well. Now go!”

They left, and Invidia leaned on her father. “I love you.” She said.

“Yes, I know, Princess…”

After a minute or so of silence Invidia spoke again. “I’m tired. Put me to bed?”

“All right…” Zordar picked her up and carried her into her bedroom.

Meanwhile, Tamaro was going to bed herself. Misa stood next to the bed.

“You’re lucky! You get a huge bed! I sleep on the floor!”

“You sleep on a couch that you ordered from a catalog,” Tamaro said.

“Your point?”

“Just go, I like you but I need sleep.”

Unfortunately, she didn’t get much of it…

-Tamaro’s Vision-

The room was almost pitch black. In the middle of the room was what looked like a bed and in the middle of it sat a figure, a woman with long black hair, she was crying. She looked back, and Tamaro saw…Invidia!

“The Princess!” Tamaro sat up. “Why was she..? Is she in trouble?” Tamaro got up and went down the hall to Invidia’s room, where, Invidia was getting up herself, and she was crying. She held her blanket close to her as she cried. “Mama…” she muttered.

“Invidia, are you okay?” Tamaro went over.

Invidia shook her head. “I…I…” She couldn’t say anything she just wanted to cry.

“Do you…want me to find your Father?” Tamaro asked.

Invidia nodded and Tamaro left.

‘Mama…I’m sorry!’ Invidia thought. ‘I couldn’t help…I…’

“Invidia are you okay?” Zordar asked as he came in with Tamaro.

Invidia shook her head. “No…It’s Mama…”

Zordar said nothing; he just went over and sat on her bed. She sat in front of him and leaned on him. He wrapped his arms around her and rocked her back and forth. “Just shush…” he said. “It’ll be all right, it’s just a dream.

Tamaro smiled and left.

“Wait, Tamaro…”

“Huh?”

“Thank you…” Invidia whispered.“But how did you..?”

“I had a vision.” Tamaro left.

‘Maybe she was telling the truth…’ Invidia thought as she fell asleep…right in Zordar’s arms.
