The Trouble With Teachers
Another Invidia short by AMI MEITSU
A/N: Invidia’s about
16 or 17 in this story, okay?
It was early in the morning, about six or seven, Invidia
lay on her bed in only her long, silk robe, trying to stay cool in the heat that
ran through the palace. She couldn’t figure out why it was so hot and she
didn’t like it, she hated being hot…
‘I hate this.’ She
thought as she read. She had started another novel out of boredom,
there was never much to do in the morning. She sighed as Zordar came in, how he
managed to stand the heat she never knew.
He sat on her bed. “Princess…” He started.
“Hm?”
“You know your teacher?”
“Of course.”
“Well, he’s gone off for two weeks, and I’ve been looking
for a substitute.”
Invidia sat up. “Yeah?”
“I managed to find a student teacher, he’s only a couple
years older than you are and he needs to do some work…so he’ll be working with
you starting today.”
“Oh, well, that’s fine.”
“Good, and he’ll be here in an hour, so you might want to
get dressed, what happened to your clothes?”
“Father it’s hot! It’s hard
for me to stay fully dressed! You know I don’t do well when I’m hot!”
“Hold on, I got you something, Shamura picked it up.”
He left and came back a minute later with a white box, he sat
it on the bed and Invidia opened it.
“Father!”
“What?”
“I like it!”Invidia pulled out a black skirt and a black
spaghetti strap shirt with the words ‘Daddy’s little Princess’ printed across
it in fancy silver letters. She had a T-shirt that said the same thing but she
only wore it in the palace. Also in the box was a light black coat to go over
the shirt and a pair of black sandals.
“They may be all black, but you’re not in the sun, so it
should be fine.” Zordar said.
“Then why is it hot in here?”
“Something with the heating and air conditioning system is
screwed up; they’re working on it, now get ready.”
“Right…” Invidia nodded and he left her alone.
An hour or so later Zordar lead her into one of the foyers,
the one where Invidia usually did her school work. He pulled her by the hand so
that she would move.
“Why are we the ones that are late?” Zordar muttered.
“You told me to get ready…You know it takes awhile, then I got caught up reading and…”
“Never mind, we’re here.” They stopped and looked around;
the teacher was nowhere in sight. “Where is he?” Zordar asked.
“Maybe he got lost…”
“Possibly.”
“Hey!”
“Hm?” They both looked up as a man entered the room. He looked
to be in his early twenties, and walked up to them.
“Hello, sorry I’m late, I got a little lost. A woman helped
me, she had brown hair…isn’t green…”
“Shamura.” Invidia said, she did not know where Shamura came from but
she knew that Shamura wasn’t green either, which kind of helped the fact that
Invidia wasn’t.
“Well anyway you know who I am, this is Invidia.” He pushed
her forward.
“Uh…hi...” was all he managed to muster, as he looked down,
trying not to stare at her. ‘She’s gorgeous!’ He thought. ‘I mean
I’ve seen pictures but she’s so much more beautiful in person…’
“What are you staring at?” Invidia asked.
“Uh, nothing, you can call me Michael.” He said.
Invidia nodded.
“I’ll just leave you to get acquainted, bye Princess.”
Zordar kissed her head and left.
“So, why did he ask you?” Invidia asked.
“I don’t know, he just liked me.”
“Whatever…” Invidia huffed as she walked over to the small
kneel-table in the middle of the room. She preferred to do her work sitting
that way and no one could figure out why, it just felt
comfortable to her.
“So, where did you leave off with your last teacher?”
“Astrophysics level 3, comprehension, pre-calculus…here.”
Invidia handed him a few papers showing what she was working on.
He looked through them while resting the urge to stare at
her, she was just so beautiful and it was hard not to look. After a
couple minutes he spoke again. “Well, I’m sure we can just continue from here,
you’re not having trouble with anything aren’t you?”
Invidia shook her head. “No, I understand everything pretty
well, I just need to continue.”
“All right then…where do you want to start?”
“Math, I always hated math, so we usually do it first.”
Invidia said.
“Okay.” He nodded, and she flipped through the pages in her
textbook. He helped her as much as he could, but after awhile Invidia found him
being a little too close to her. She backed away and he scooted closer, this happened a couple more times and Invidia’s annoyance showed…
“What’s wrong, Princess?” He asked,
calling her Princess as a formal title, then again if it came from anyone but
her Father it was used as a formal title.
“Can you back up a little?” Invidia snapped. “You’re
getting too close! I like my space!”
“Sorry…” He said as he backed up.
She sighed and continued working, with the strange feeling
that it was getting hotter by the minute. ‘Oh, I hate this so much! I wish
they’d just hurry up and fix it!’ Invidia thought as she slipped off her
coat, not caring how much of her was showing without it.
Michael just watched her. “Uh…I…”
“You don’t mind, do you?” Invidia asked.
“No…of course not…” He said, then
he thought, ‘I could never tell her that I actually wanted her to
take it off…’
Invidia threw her coat over to the side and got up. “I’ll be
back” she said. “I have a book to get…” She left, and Michael watched her.
“I wonder what it takes to have her…” He whispered to
himself. Then he sighed, he knew he really didn’t stand a chance with her, she
was his student anyway…
Invidia returned moments later with an astrophysics book in
hand, he watched her as she came back over, looking at her with a slight leer
as he looked at her bare legs under her skirt.
Invidia noticed. She sat down and looked down feeling dirty
under his gaze, it seemed like all he did was stare at her. This seemed to
become a re-occurring pattern in the hours until lunch, the only time Invidia
got a break during this time.
She watched him carefully from across the table, barely
touching her food as she kept a close eye on him.
“You probably should be eating.” He said.
“Don’t tell me what to do.” Invidia snapped.
“But…”
Invidia glared at him and he shut up as she finally began
to eat. ‘Is it just me or is he turning into a pervert?’ She asked
herself. She sighed and looked at the clock, anxiously waiting until it was
time to leave, a time that came four hours later. When it did, Invidia was
happy to see him go.
“I guess I’ll see you again tomorrow.” He said.
“Bye.” Invidia stated bluntly.
“Then we can…”
“Bye.” Invidia growled.
He turned to leave but turned to her at the last minute and
placed his thumb on her lip and held her chin up. “I’ll see you soon, my
beautiful Princess.” He said, staring into her eyes.
“Get off.” Invidia growled. He left and she just watched him.
‘That was weird…’
That evening she kept trying to convince her Father that he
was strange, but he didn’t believe her no matter what she said. He thought that
Michael or as Invidia said him was a respectable teacher. This became a
re-occurring pattern over the next week as it did, her teacher’s behaviors got
weirder and she started feeling weird herself.
The following Monday, it was even worse; she didn’t even
want to get up that morning.
“Come on Invidia, get up.” Zordar said as he shook her.
Invidia just groaned, didn’t he understand? She didn’t want
to get up.
“Invidia, get up!”
She groaned again, but she did sit up. “Father, stop it!”
“What’s wrong? You don’t sound good…”
“I don’t feel well.” Invidia admitted.
“You’re not faking are you? Just so you don’t have to deal
with your teacher?”
“No!”
He put his hand to her forehead. “You are hot…and I don’t
think this nightgown is helping any…”
“It’s not…” Invidia muttered as she looked down at her long
sleeved black nightgown.
“Well, you have to get in the bath and change, and then
I’ll see if I can get your doctor to look at you okay?”
Invidia nodded as Shamura came in, she had come rather
early that day…
“Mistress, are you okay? You don’t look good…”
“I’m not.”
“Oh, well let’s get you in the bath okay? It’ll help you
feel better.”
“Okay.” Invidia muttered. Then Shamura took her hand and
led her into the bathroom.
A couple minutes later she sat in the bath with Shamura on
the outside of it, next to her.
“How did this happen?” Shamura asked.
Invidia shrugged. “I don’t know, but it’s weird considering
I don’t normally get sick…”
“On rare occasion you do.”
“I know, and I hate it!” Invidia whined. “I get sick and I
feel like crap! My head hurts, I’m hot...” She sighed. ‘On the upside I
might not have to deal with school today…’
She was wrong, after her bath and after she was looked over
the doctor said that it was just a cold, and would only be bad for a day or
two.
“So, can I just rest?” Invidia asked her Father hopefully.
“No, you heard him, it’s just a cold, you’re still working
today, but you can stay in here, okay? And you’ll only have to work for three
or four hours…”
“Fine…” Invidia said. This was one of the only bad things
about homeschooling if she was sick she was working, unless she had something
really bad like the flu.
“But you can just lie down for now.” Zordar said as he put
her down. “He’ll be here in two hours or so, you rest and I’ll get you
something to eat, okay?”
Invidia nodded and Shamura sat next to her on the bed.
“Sing to me.” Invidia said.
“Hm?”
“When I’m sick Father usually plays one of Mama’s songs,
but I want you to sing. Sing her song, Voice in the Dark.”
“I don’t know many of the words, Mistress.” Shamura said as
she placed her hand over Invidia’s. “You start.”
Invidia took in a breath and began the first verse, Shamura
soon followed. Invidia’s voice seemed to change when she sang, her accent
wasn’t as strong when she sang, and her voice was soft…and almost sweet.
After a couple minutes she fell fast asleep. Shamura moved
some of her hair off her face as Zordar came in.
“The chef said that her food will be ready in about a half
hour. I got him to make her some soup, it’ll make her feel better.”
“Why can’t she just have canned soup? You know, the condensed stuff that everyone else eats?” Shamura
asked.
“She can’t stomach it, it makes her feel sick.”
“Oh.” Shamura said.
A little while later, after she had eaten, Zordar sat on
her bed holding her with the blanket around her. She looked up at him.
“How do you feel?” Zordar asked.
“A little better…but still bad” Invidia admitted. “When is
he coming?”
“He should be here soon, I’ll go check.” Zordar laid her on
her bed and left, when he came back he was alone. “He’s coming up soon.” He
went over and began to move her pillows around, propping them up so that she
could sit up and work.
“Thanks…” Invidia said.
After she said that Michael came in, Zordar went over.
“She’s sick, so don’t work her too hard, and she’s only
going to work for half the time…okay?”
Michael nodded and sat on the bed, he handed her the
pre-calculus textbook. “Here, start on chapter three.”
Invidia nodded and got to work. He watched her. ‘Why is
she dressed like that?' He thought as he looked at her, she sat in only her
slip. 'It’s weird but… I don’t mind, she looks…nice, real nice...’ After
a half hour or so he stopped looking at her and looked over her work.
“Uh, Princess?” He said.
“Yes?”
“What are you trying to do here?” He asked as he looked
over two very confusing problems.
“You’re kidding me, right?” Invidia muttered as she got up.
She leaned over and tried to explain the problem to him.
He was barely listening; he was staring at her, her breasts
in particular. She was leaning down with one of her straps falling and he saw a
lot more of her than usual. ‘She really is beautiful.’ He thought. ‘And…who
would’ve guessed that she actually had something…and that she could actually be
sexy!’“Wow…” he breathed.
“Wow what?” Invidia asked as she sat up. “Are you staring
at me?!”
“No, of course not just…do that again for me…” She did and
he tried to pay more attention, but he just couldn’t. That was a re-occurring
pattern in the next two hours or so, and then Invidia was given a small break.
“How do you feel?” Michael asked.
“Okay…I still don’t feel well.” As soon as she finished
speaking, she sneezed.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes, you don’t have to worry about me.” Invidia said, kind
of annoyed.
“But I want to.” He said as he raised her hand, “I have to
make sure you’re all right, I wouldn’t want anything to happen to my beautiful,
sexy Princess…” He said as he leaned down and kissed her hand. He looked up at
her, and when she showed no reaction he kissed it again, and again, going up
her wrist…
“What are you doing?” Invidia asked as she tried to back up
from him. ‘What is he…? Is he trying to make a move on me?!’
He said nothing he kept going up and up, hoping to
eventually get down her neck to her breasts and maybe…
“Get off!” Invidia screamed as he threw the blankets off and
kicked him hard in the stomach.
“Ah...You…” Michael coughed as he looked up at her.
“SHUT UP! Get off my bed! Out of my room and off my Comet!
I don’t need the likes of you around me! You’re nothing but a huge pervert!”
“Princess, what’s wrong?” Zordar asked as he came in. He
had heard her scream and was worried, and became even more worried when he saw
her backed up against her headboard.
“He tried to make a move on me!” Invidia said.
Zordar looked at Michael as he clutched his stomach and
instantly believed her. Even though she was evil she wasn’t the type of person
to kick someone for no reason.
He went over and hugged her, then, he glared at Michael.
“You are fired! I never want to see you around here again! How dare you try and
put a move on my daughter!”
“But…”
“Leave!”
He left and Zordar hugged Invidia again. “And you, can just
rest for now, since your teacher is coming back in about three days you can
just rest, is that okay?”
Invidia nodded. “Of course it’s okay…I love you…”
“Yes I love you too…” Zordar said as he pulled her onto
him, he held her and she laid her head on his chest.
“You’re warm…” She said.
“Okay…” Zordar muttered.
“I love you.”
“Yes, I love you too…” he laid her back down. “Now get some
sleep, okay?”
Invidia nodded as Zordar pulled her blanket up and she
snuggled into it.
“I love you Princess, I hope you get better soon…” He
kissed her head.
She coughed. “I do too…” she said.
“Aw…” He put his hand to her head. “You’re still a little
hot…I’ll get a cloth for your head and you just rest, all right?”
“But I’m hot! You know I don’t sleep well when I’m hot!”
Invidia whined.
“It’ll be okay. I’ll find a way to bring down your fever.
And look on the bright side, you don’t have anything to worry about anymore,
I’m getting rid of him and you’ll get better soon, just wait.”
“Okay.” Invidia nodded. “Just let me be…”
Zordar nodded and left and Invidia began to fall asleep,
happy that she would never see him again. She sighed as Shamura came in
and rubbed her head with a cool cloth. After she left Invidia just lay there,
thinking.
‘I’m glad he’s gone…now I can just relax…’ Invidia thought as she fell into a deep sleep.
END.
