Deep Space

EDF Battleship Argo

Her nightmares started shortly after. Afraid to sleep Nova kept busy to late hours. As much as she drank coffee eventually she drifted to sleep to be awoken by her own screams. Derek noticed that she wasn’t looking well. He questioned her but she simply replied with, “Just a little worried about the kids. But I’ll be alright. Don’t worry about me Derek, you have a ship to command.” Her nightmares soon became more and more intense enough for Miku to wake up her brother next door to their room.

“Miku! What are you doing here?” Alex said in shock to see his baby sister standing over him. “Where is Mom?”

“Alec” his sister called him. “Mommy, bad dream.” She tried not to cry.

Getting up he woke up his brothers and told them to look after their sister. He raced to her room and found her tossing and turning. “Mom? Mom, wake up.” He tried to shake her awake. “Mom! Wake up!” He yelled.

“Alex, what’s going on?” DJ asked as he walked into the room.

“Go get Dad, something is wrong with Mom. GO! HURRY UP!” he yelled back to his brother.

DJ ran as fast as he could to his father’s room. He banged on the door and waited until he heard him open it. “DJ do you know what time it is?” His father said rubbing his eyes and then running his hand through his hair. “Dad, its Mom.” Grabbing a shirt he race back with his son to her room.  Alex sat on the edge of the bed still trying to wake up his mother.

“Dad I don’t know what’s wrong she won’t wake up.” Alex said.

Pushing him out the way he took hold of Nova and shook her. “NOVA! Wake up!” he yelled. She moaned loud and then screamed out fighting at him.

“PLEASE STOP! Let me go, please let me go!” She screamed out.

She began to claw at him screaming out. Derek shook harder to wake her up then turned to his son, “Alex go get Doctor Chin, Now!” Alex ran out to get the doctor. Within minutes Alex ran back with the doctor behind him. “She’s not coming out of it. Do something!”

Slapping her hard Doctor Chin also tried to wake her. Nova fought in her sleep swinging at whoever was near her. “NOVA! YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP!” Chin screamed. Her body shook and he slapped her one more time. Her eyes began to flutter and she started to calm down. “Talk to her.” He commanded Wildstar.

He slid next to her and began to whisper to her. “Nova, baby, please wake up. You’re scaring the kids and your scaring the crap out of me. Baby I love you please wake up.” He said softly into her ear. Tears of worry flow from his eyes and he gently kissed her on the lips. He continued to speak softly and she slowly opened her eyes. “Nov, baby, hey.”

“What’s going on? Why are you here?” she looked and saw them all in the room.

“We couldn’t wake you. What were you dreaming about? We have been trying to wake you for about 20 minutes. Not to mention you scared the hell out of the kids and me. What were you dreaming about?”

“I don’t know I can’t remember.” She said.

“How long has this been going on? Is this why you haven’t been sleeping?’

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare anyone. I just haven’t been sleeping well and I can’t remember why.”

“Nova would like for me to give you a sedative.” Doctor Chin asked. “It will help you sleep better.”

“No thank you doctor.”

“I think you should take one Nov. Maybe it will help. It’ll keep you from dreaming.”

“I said no.” she feared sleep. She didn’t want to sleep anymore if it meant seeing his face again. It terrified her to see him in her dreams. Could he still be alive? Was he really dead or has he been resurrected. She shuddered at the thought of him being alive. “I just need to be busy that’s all. Where is Miku?” she asked in fear that he would be in her dreams too.

“She’s with Mark. She’s a little worried about you. But she’ll bounce back. I’ll take her with me and you can get some rest.” She shook her head yes and he turned to everyone. “Okay Alex, take Miku to my room and DJ you go back to bed. Mom just had a bad dream. She’ll be alright. Doctor Chin, thank you for helping.”

“I’ll leave these here if you need them.” He said placing some pills on the nightstand next to her.

“Thank you doc but I don’t think I’ll need them.” She forced a smile. Derek sat next to her and waited until everyone was gone. “Derek I’ll be alright. I promise.” She said.

“Do you want me to stay?” He asked with worry. “Or maybe it’s best that you sleep in the medical ward. At least Doctor Chin can keep an eye on you.”

“No Derek, I’ll be alright. You go you have to wake up early tomorrow.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes Derek. Go, I love you.”

Gamilon Planet

Gamilon City

Residence of Devina and Deslock.

She walked into the room and over to her husband that sat with his fellow officers. “Devina my love is everything alright?”

“Deslock I need to talk with you, it’s important.” She said. Looking at his wife face there was something fearful in her look.

“Yes of course. Gentlemen, can you give us a few minutes.” He ordered.

One by one they left them to talk. “What is it my love. You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

“Deslock, I think Nova is in trouble.”

“What? How do you know this?”

“I’ve been seeing her dreams and so has Aurora. Deslock, they are terrifying. I think someone is getting into her mind.”

He knew she was telling the truth after so many other times. “I can call the Argo and speak with Wildstar.”

“No! Whoever it is they will know and will do something to hurt her.”

“What do you want to do?”

“We have to go to them. We have to stop whoever it is that is in her mind. I will get Aurora we will need her. Her powers are much stronger than mine.”

“Fine, I will get the boys. We will leave as soon as possible.” He looked closer at his wife and could see the concern on her face. “Devina don’t worry I will not let anything happen to our friends.” Pulling her closer he held her tight. “I promise you.”

20^th of December, 2224

Planet Zazba

Admiral Derek Wildstar’s Quarters

“Sir we will be descending on the planet soon.” Lee said.

“Thank you Evan.” Wildstar replied. “I’m sorry that you missed Christmas with your family. I wish we didn’t have to come here.”

“It’s alright sir. My wife understands. Anyway, it’s one Christmas away from home and there will be many more. What do you think Namir wants here on this planet? I mean I thought he was heading back to Bolar.”

“I have no clue. Every time we call to confirm any new info we get side track with something else.”

“How is Nova?”

He sat back in his chair, his face show stress about his wife. “Not good. Alex had to come and get me a few more times since that night. Each time it was harder and harder to bring her out of it. I don’t know what more to do. She refuses medication and she doesn’t sleep. To tell you the truth Evan It’s getting harder to separate my personal life with running this ship. I feel like a failure not able to take care of my wife and run this ship.”

“Sir, I think you’re doing an excellent job. If you need me to take command I’m here.”

“Thank you Evan. I just might take you up on that. At some point I will need to step down. If she isn’t getting any better by the time we head back I just might give you full command of her.” He said relieved that he could depend on him.

“Sir I would be honor. You and Nova have always been there for me. And if it wasn’t for you and her I would have never met Melissa.”

Wildstar smiled at him and said. “She a great girl, you did good.”

“She is my world and David is my universe. I can’t believe he is going to be 9 years old. I thought we would never have a kid. She had so many complications and Nova was always there for her. Even when you two, well.”

“She is special like that. How is David? I know he was sick when we left.”

“I worry too much. He only had a cold like Melissa said.”

“I know how you feel. I feel the same way when I had to leave to find out that I missed all the colds, flu and events. It’s the life we chose and I guess we don’t realize that it effect’s our families. I don’t know what’s worst them being sick at home or sick and being here. You worry either way.”

“Very true, Sir.”

“I guess we should get ready to land. I just want to check on Nova and then meet you on the bridge.” He said as Lee began to walk out the door. “Oh and Captain Lee.”

“Yes sir.”

“Thank you for everything.” Lee smiled at his friend and left to the bridge.

Wildstar grabbed his cover and made his way to Nova quarters. He knocked softly and then opened the door. Nova laid on the edge of the bed sleeping. Quietly he picked her up and moved her to the center of the bed. He placed a blanket on her and lean down gently kissing her on the lips. “I love you” he whispered and then left to their son’s room. “Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we will be landing soon. Your mom is sleeping so can you keep an eye on Miku for me.”

“Dad is mom alright?” Mark asked. He like his brothers began to worry about his mother’s nightmares.

Smiling at his middle son, “She’s just tired. No need to worry about her. She will be alright.” He walked onto the bridge and sat in his captain’s chair. “Mr. Lee, start the descend down to Zazba.” He ordered.

“Aye aye sir. Start the descend.” Lee called out to the bridge crew.

Wildstar sat quietly as he watched the ice planet before him. His heart beat faster knowing that this is where it all happened and ended for him and Mariposa. Why Namir needed him here was beyond him. When he question to what the problem was Namir simply said I will inform you when you get here, never once did he use the monitor. All communications where done through radio. Would she be there too? Would she create a scene? How will Nova be in all this? He gripped the arms of his chair and squeezed tight wondering what will happen when he lands. Will Nova keep her cool or will she lose all her senses? Only time will tell.

“Sir, we have clearance from Zazba to land.”

“Thank you Deputy Captain Lee. Mr. Matsumi please keep in close contact with Zazba and try to get in touch with Namir.” Something he had been asking since they last talked. Why meet here on Zazba, why not over on Bolar?

“Deslock, how long till we get to Zazba?” Devina asked with worry.

“A week and half’s time.”

“Have you gotten in touch with Namir and Julie?”

“They are trying now. Devina relax we will get there soon.” Looking closer at his wife he saw the concern in her face. He took hold of her and held her. “I promise I will not let anything happen to them. General Meekana, any word from Namir?” he asked his communications officer.

“I’m sorry your grace but we are still trying.”

“Deslock She is blocking all communication to Bolar. We have to find away to get to him.”

“Are you sure about this?”

Closing her eyes she could feel the disturbance. “Yes, it is her that is stopping us from contacting Namir.”

Planet Zazba

They all gather at the gangway while the patrol boat waited in the water. “Are we ready?” Wildstar asked. Lee, Pesci and Delvechio with two marines all nodded their heads. “Okay let’s go and get this over with, the sooner we deal with whatever Namir wants us for the quicker we can all go home.” They all boarded the patrol boat and it made its way to the docks. As they came closer to the dock Wildstar notice a welcoming party waiting for their arrival. They docked the boat and began to walk down the dock.

“Admiral Wildstar?”

“Yes that’s me.” Stepping behind Wildstar he took hold of his arms and began to place handcuffs on him. “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!” Wildstar yelled as Lee and the others stood shocked.

“Admiral Wildstar we are ordered to place you under arrest. Please come with us back to the castle.” He turned to the others and began to yell out orders. “Arrest the others and take control of the ship!”

Quickly Pesci and Delvechio pushed the queen’s guards and drew their weapons. “Let him go!” Pesci called out the guards.

“I’d advise you to put down your weapons Commander.” He said as his men drew their weapons also.

Wildstar saw as they began to climb into the boat and pushed at his captures starting a fight on the dock. He turned to Pesci and the others and yelled. “GET BACK TO THE SHIP! Don’t let them on the ship!” He knew if they go on the Argo they would take control of it and Nova and the kids were on there. “GO!” The two marines fought with some of the soldiers while Pesci, Lee and Delvechio race back on the boat. Fighting off some of the men they took control of the boat and raced back to the Argo.

“We have to go back!” Pesci screamed at Lee.

“PESH Pull yourself together. We can’t go back. I have orders. We have to get to the Argo and take off. Nova and the kids are aboard we can’t let them take the Argo.” He said as he maneuvered the boat towards the Argo.

Meanwhile Wildstar and the two marines fought hard to get away. One Marine tried to protect Wildstar and was killed by the queen’s guard. Wildstar fought hard to make sure that they got away. He slowly dropped to his knees and placed his hands behind his head. From the dock he watched as they boarded the Argo and within minutes it lifted up into the sky. “You have me you don’t need the ship.” The officer began to yell at the others and then they dragged him to the castle. “Our Queen would like a word with you.” He said as they made their way there.

Feeling the ship land Nova woke up and made her way to the observation room. She stood there looking out as she watched her husband and Lee with the others make their way to the docks. She turned to Miku and watched as she played with a doll in front of her. Turning back to the window she watched as a fight broke out in the distance. Grabbing hold of her daughter she ran to her son’s room and said. “Watch your sister and whatever you hear don’t you open this door for any one! Do you hear me?”

Alex jumped from his bunk and took hold of his sister. “What’s going on mom?”

“Just stay here with your brothers and sister! Lock the door and don’t open it for anyone, do you understand!”

“Yes ma’am.”

Taking hold of her own weapon she handed it to her oldest son. “Alex take this,”

“Mom what’s going on?”

“Alex I need you to be an officer right now. I know I’m asking a lot but I need you right now. I’ll explain later. If anyone else walks through that door besides me or your father I want you to shoot. DO YOU UNDERSTAND!”

Shaking and confused he wiped his tears and stood tall. “Yes ma’am.”

She walked out the door and listened for the lock of the door and then ran to the bridge. “I am Captain Nova Wildstar I am now taking control. Mr. Lopez, prepare to take off! Mr. Harrington call down to the engine room and have them pull up the anchors.” They all looked on confused.

“Ma’am, we need orders from the captain himself. We cannot take orders from a civilian.”

She walked over to Lopez and pointed out the window. “They are trying to take the ship. NOW TAKE OFF!” she snapped.

Lopez could see in the distance of a fight that took place. One of the other crew pointed to the boat coming towards them as a bunch of boats with men aboard follow suit. “It’s Captain Lee!” the communication officer called out.

“As soon as he is on ship take off!” Nova commanded. “We can’t allow them to take the ship.”

“Aye aye!” they all said in unison.

Within minutes the communication officers yelled out that they were on ship and the Argo took off. Nova sat down in the captain chair shaking. She could feel her heart beat so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of her chest. She bit on her nails praying that he would walk through the door. What happen? Why did they attack? Her mind raced for the safety of her children and to her husband. Did he manage to get away with Lee? Her heart almost stopped when the door opened to the bridge and Lee ran in. “Get her out into space and prepare to warp!” Nova stood up and stared at Lee. Lee looked up and saw her standing there.

“Where is he?” She asked. He looked away and she knew that he didn’t make it back with them. “NO!” she screamed.

Lee ran over to her and held her in his arms. “We will get him back I promise you.”

“What happened?” she asked. Lee tried to find words when she slapped him. “WHAT HAPPENED!”

“I’m sorry Nova we didn’t know they were going to arrest him. He distracted them long enough for us to get away. He ordered me to get back to the ship and take off.” He said as she cried in his arms. “We have to get away from here,”

“SIR WE HAVE IN COMING!” Lopez yelled out.

“Take evasive action. Mr. Kamijou, release the defense chargers. Mr. Lopez, bring her at full speed and get us out of here.” He turned to Pesci and said. “Take her to the captain’s quarters.”

“NO! I’m staying.” She said in a stern voice.

“Ma’am its best for now.” Pesci said. Falling into his arms he guided her off the bridge and up to her husband’s quarters. She sat on his bed and cried harder. “I’m sorry.”

“What happened, Pesh?”

“I don’t know. We got on the dock and the next thing that happened they were arresting him. Admiral Wildstar managed to distract them enough for us to get away. He ordered us to get back to the ship and take off. I believe to protect you and the kids. They tried to take control of the patrol boat so they can get on the ship.” He felt like a failure knowing that he couldn’t save his friend and admiral. And to tell his wife what happen he wanted to punch a wall for leaving him behind. “I’m so sorry Nova. I didn’t want to leave him there. But,”

Composing herself she stood up and walked across the room. “I know you did your best Pesh. He wouldn’t want it any other way. He wanted to make sure that the ship wasn’t taken.”

“Nova it wasn’t only that. I believe he was more concern about you and the kids. You are his first priority not the ship.” She looked away and out the window. She watched as the planet grew smaller and smaller. She listened to the ship guns fire back as the Argo move faster and faster into space. Pesh stood next to her and held her in his arms. “I promise you on my daughter’s life I will bring him back,” making her cry again.

Planet Zazba

Queens Mariposa Castle

They dragged him into the castle and threw him on the floor. Wildstar looked up to see her standing there. “What is the meaning of this!” he snapped as he quickly jumped to his feet. “Where is Namir?”

“He isn’t here.” She said looking at him with hatred.

“What the hell is going on Mariposa? What do you think you’re doing?”

“What about the ship?” she asked her guard.

“I’m sorry your highness. They managed to get away and take off. We tried to take her down but she was too quick and warped before our ships were able to take off.”

“Take him to the prison.” She commanded.

“What about this one?” he asked.

“Kill him.” She ordered.

“WHAT! NO! He is only one man. Kill me instead.” Wildstar begged.

She turned to look his way and said, “Always the true hero and gentleman. Very well take him to a cell also.”

Wildstar’s heart slowed down thankful she didn’t kill his man. Think Wildstar you have to get out of this. But first you have to find out why she did this. “Thank you, your highness. Can you please tell me what this is all about?” he asked.

With vile in her voice she said. “You are being charge for assault.”

“On who?” he asked confused.

“Me, you forced yourself on me and impregnated me. Because of you I lost the only thing that would have loved me for me. Admiral Wildstar I sentence you to life here on Zazba with hard labor. Now you will know how it is to lose your family like I lost whatever family I made have had.” She said then turned to her guards. “Bring her to me. I don’t care how, just do it!”

Bowing to her he replied with, “Yes your highness.”

Wildstar’s eyes widen. Was she talking about his daughter or Nova? Whoever it was he knew that he had to get out of here. The guard took hold of Wildstar’s arm and tried to escort him to the prison. “Wait!” he called to her. “Your highness please, what happened was a mistake. And it wasn’t me to come on to you. It was you that came on to me. Yes I made a mistake but doing this will only create friction between our worlds. You’ve always said that peace is what you want for your people. What do you think will come of this?”

“Yes my people are my first priority, but what makes you think that your world will fight to get you back. They would rather risk your life to keep peace. One man is not worth going to war for. You will serve your time here until your last breath.” She said and then walked out of the room.

“Admiral what do we do sir?” the young marine asked.

“Stay calm. Whatever you do don’t resist them. Do as they say. I’ll think of something.” He answered him as calm as he could sound. The last thing he wanted was to show him how scared he was for him. He was nothing to her and she would have him killed without a second thought. The guard shoved them towards the door and made them walk down to the castles prison where they were both tossed into cells. Wildstar sat down on the cold bunk and thought about his wife and kids. Would he ever see them again? His only relief was that they got away. Chills ran down his back thinking what would have happen if they got on ship and tried to take his kids. “Nova baby, stay away. Take the kids and the Argo and go back to earth.” He said softly.

EDF Battleship Argo

Deep space

2,000 light years from Planet Zazba

Bridge

“Captain! We have to go back and get him!” Pesci yelled at him.

“Stand down Commander! This is not easy for me either. I want to go back but I have orders from the Admiral himself. Under no circumstances are we to go back for him.”

“This is bull shit! He would never leave anyone behind. What do I tell Nova?” he asked him.

“I don’t know. Where is she?”

“She’s upstairs still in his quarters.”

Taking a deep breath he turned and made his way off the bridge up to the captains’ quarters. Softly he knocked on the door and then walked in. She sat at his desk looking out the window. “Nova?” She turned to look at him and he could see that she was crying.

“Have you heard anything?” she asked hoping that it would be good news.

“I’m sorry Nova, but no, nothing.” Lee said.

“I have to go tell the kids. Would you come with me?” she asked wiping the tears from her face.

“Nova,”

“I have to tell them Evan. I can’t keep this from them.” She walked past him and out the door. She knocked on the door and waited until she heard her son’s voice.

“Who is it?”

“Alex it’s me, your mother.” She heard him unlock the door and then opened it. Quickly they all jumped into their mothers arms hugging and squeezing her tight. “Everything is alright. Alex you did an excellent job. Your father would be proud.”

“Is dad on the bridge?” Mark asked.

“No, listen guys there something I have to tell you.” Letting out a breath she tried hard to hold her tears back. “Dad isn’t on the ship and I don’t think he is coming back. See daddy.” Tears streamed down her face and Alex knew that something happened to their father. “Daddy has been detained for a while. Uncle Evan and everyone are working to get him back. So don’t worry. You know your dad he always comes out of things smelling like roses.” She tried to smile.

Alex took hold of his mother and hugged her tighter. “Mom I want to help.”

“You can help by watching you brothers and sister. Just stay out of the way and let us deal with this. Please Alex I don’t need to worry about you too. Okay?”

“But mom,”

“Alex please I don’t want to order you. I need you to stay strong and help me with them. Alright?”

“Yes Ma’am.”

“Good now I have to go to the bridge and find out something’s. I’ll be right back. I love you all.” She kissed them and left.

“Al, what do you think happen to Dad?” DJ asked.

“I don’t know Deej, but I know mom she won’t stop until we get him back.”

“Why don’t we go and look for him?” DJ said.

“You heard mom we stay put.” Alex said with a stern voice. But if they can’t get dad back I’ll go look for him myself, he thought to himself.

Gamilon Flagship Aurora

Deep space

Bridge

“Your grace I finally got through the Bolar leader. I am placing him through now.” Deslock communications officer said.

Deslock sat in his chair and watched as the screen focus and Namirs face came to view. “Deslock, do what I owe this pleasure. I hope that none of our ships strayed into your territory again.” He said with a giggle.

“Namir we have a situation. Where are you now?”

“I’m at Omega 13 with Julie, why?”

“My wife feels that Nova and the kids are in danger. Now I truly don’t take things like this serious but considering her powers as to knowing things I do take this seriously. We have been trying to get through to the Argo and Earth Defense but something is blocking our communications. We have being trying to get in touch with you for days and now just happened to luck out.”

“Funny how this is unfolding Julie and I were requested to come here and once we got here they said they never sent any request. Needless to say our confusion once we arrive. What does Devina feel?”

“She and Aurora have been having premonitions of Nova and the Kids in danger. She insisted that we take off immediately. She believes Mariposa is behind this.” Deslock said.

Namir face turned to worry, “so that is why she insisted that we go. She told us that she was feeling better and to go. She was planning something all along. We are leaving here right away. We will meet you on Zazba in 7days time. Deslock if she has them its best to settle things without force. Nova and kids are there not to mention hundreds of families. Though both our worlds have superior forces, its best to show that we can use restraint without starting a war.”

“Agree Namir. I will meet you on Zazba in 7 days. I just hope that we can settle this without force.” Deslock said. The both saluted each other and the screen went black. “Captain, take command I will be back.”

Snapping to attention the captain saluted and bowed down to him replying with, “Yes you’re Excellency.”

He made his way to his quarters found Devina and his daughter sitting in a trance. Quietly he walked over to his wife and kissed her on the cheek. “I know you’re here my love.” she said catching him off guard.

“I didn’t want to disturb you or Aurora.”

“Will Julie be coming also to Zazba?”

“Yes she will. What have you found out?”

Taking in a deep breath she broke her and Aurora connection. “Not good, though Nova and the kids are safe for now. Captain Wildstar is in deep trouble.”

“Devina is there any way possible to talk with Mariposa without technical communication?” He asked.

“Aurora and I have been trying but she refuses to let us in. She has blocked out everything completely. He anger is controlling her commonsense. If I can just get through to her we may be able to talk this out.”

“Are you telling that we will have to use force?”

“I am praying that we don’t.”

24^th of December, 2224

EDF Battleship Argo

Communications room

“I understand Captain Lee. I agree we need to handle this with care.” Sandor said on the video. Since Singleton’s retirement Sandor was now appointed to EDF Council. “How is Nova?”

“She’s a wreck but I do believe she will pull through. Alex is also doing an outstanding job. Wildstar would be proud.”

“Go fourth with the mission and keep me informed. He has done so much for Earth the least we can do is try to get him back. Have you gotten in touch with Deslock or Namir?”

“Not yet sir, we are still trying.”

“Hmm, have you tried through our old communications log?”

“No sir, do you think that would work?”

“It’s the only option we have left. Ask Nova for help she can tell you the old frequency. Good luck Captain your doing an excellent job with her.”

“Thank you sir.” Lee saluted and left to go find Nova.

He found her standing in his quarters holding a picture of their family while Miku slept in her father’s bed. She put her finger to her mouth and he quietly walked over to her. “She finally fell asleep. She’s been asking for him I just don’t know what to say to her. She’s too young to understand.”

“I spoke with headquarters, Sandor thinks that if we use the old communication systems that maybe we might get through to Deslock and Namir. Do you remember how to use it?”

Nodding her head she wiped the tears from face and put the picture of them back on his desk. “Yes I remember.” She ran her finger over his and her picture of their wedding day and said. “I miss him so much.” She said and began to cry again. How could this happen to them. They’ve done so much for earth and its people not to mention Mariposa and her world. He stepped closer and wrapped his arms around her holding her tight as she cried on his shoulder. Finally composing herself she sat behind his desk and opened up his laptop. “Let’s hope this works.”

Devina sat in Deslock command chair as he went over with Talan on tactics. Damir and Dillan stood to the side looking over their warp path. “Father, Damir and I think this way would be the best to go.”

Walking over he looked at the path and agreed. “Good job Dillan, Damir. Take it over to our navigation officer and have them prepare to warp in 10 minutes.”

“Yes sir.” They both replied in unison.

“Your grace! I have an incoming call from one of old communication system. Sir we haven’t used this system in years! Should I put it through?”

“The Argo only they would use that system. Put it through!” he commanded.

“Des, Des,” the screen and voice broke.

“Fix it! NOW!” he ordered.

“YES SIR!” The communication officer said in fear.

“Des, Des,” someone continued to say as it clear from static. “Emperor Deslock this is Captain Evan Lee of the Argo.”

“Captain Lee! Finally we have communications.”

“Your Grace. It’s good to finally get through. We have been trying for days to get in touch with you and Leader Namir. Wildstar has been captured.”

“Captain Lee, I am already on my way. Send us your coordinates.”

“My navigations officer is sending them now. Sir, we,”

“No need to explain Captain we already know. Where is Nova?” He stepped aside as Nova came to view. He could see the redness in her eyes and the stress on her face. Alex stood beside her standing tall and trying to support his mother. “Cadet Captain Wildstar I hope that you are helping your mother with your brothers and sister. She will need you more right now.” Deslock said with a stern voice. He spoke no different to him as he would to his sons.

“I am sir.” He answered with a salute.

“Good I know that your father would be very proud of you.” He turned to Nova and his face softened. “Nova, how are you?”

“I’m hanging in there. Deslock, why would she do this?”

“I don’t know but don’t worry. Namir and I are on our way. Devina is here and Julie is with Namir.”

Devina stood up and looked into the video. “Nova I know about your dreams it’s her that has been sending them to you. Aurora also has been seeing them. We are all here and will see you soon.”

Damir pass his father a piece of paper and nodded. “We will be there in 3 days.”

“Thank you Deslock.”

He smiled at her and said. “Between you and I. I would never let him down.” He winked at her making her smile. “Now you look like you could use some rest from what I see. Cadet Captain Wildstar! This is an order make sure your mother get some rest! Understand!”

Snapping to attention he saluted him and said “YES SIR!”

“Good. Captain Lee I will see you in 3 days. Deslock, out!”

“Well you heard uncle Deslock, mom. You need to rest something we all have been trying to get you to do. So let’s go.” Alexander Wildstar said taking her by the arm and leading her to his father’s quarters.
