Arty’s
Revenge! Turpis meets his match!

The day after Sabera’s birthday was better than
the actual date but still kind of depressing. Yesterday, General Turpis proved
that he was definitely possessed. While Invidia had been visiting her mother’s
memorial site, the closest she had to an actul gravesite, General Turpis snuck
up on her and basically beat the crap out of her. Invidia fought back for
awhile until he grabbed her by her hair and kicked her on her left side-hard,
leaving this huge bruise. On top of all that he scratched her wrist-and it
actually drew blood. Now it was time for him to get what had been coming to him
for years.
‘He will get hurt-he needs to get a taste of
what he’s been inflicting on Invidia for years…’Arty thought as he tapped his fingers on the
table at breakfast.
“Dad? Hello?”
“Huh?” Arty looked behind him to see his adopted
daughter waving her hand in his face, she looked a little annoyed, her twin brother,
Ryou, stood off to the side next to her.
“Breakfast?” Akira asked, it was Monday, which
means that Arty had to make breakfast and get the kids off to school. Akira
went to a private academy and as a uniform she wore a black blazer, skirt, a
white shirt and a small navy blue tie. Ryou went to the
“Sorry” he said, then he looked at the
clock-they only had a half hour-he forgot to get them up too-well actually he
was basically another alarm clock for Akira and she woke Ryou up. “Just get
some doughnuts or something.”
“Okay dad what up?” Akira asked, her father was
usually prepared and ready to go by the time he got them up.
“Nothing… I was just thinking” he said as Ryou
pulled out the doughnut box.
No he hadn’t told the kids what happened to
Invidia-he didn’t want to worry them.
“Weird…” Akira said as she shoved a chocolate
doughnut in her mouth and worked on putting on her tie.
“What’s going on?” Invidia asked as she walked
into the kitchen.
“Invidia-Mama!” Akira said as she tried to hug
her-Invidia moved. “Let me hug you!”
Invidia moved as her adopted daughter came at
her again.
“Okay what up with you?” Akira asked.
“Nothing” she said “and don’t you have to get
ready?”
Akira sighed and headed down the hallway. ‘What
is wrong with them?’ she asked herself ‘Dad’s off in space and
Invidia-Mama…who knows? I’m just surprised she got up at 6:30; she usually
doesn’t get up until 7:30 or 8. Hm… that woman does do a lot of sleeping…’
Ryou still stood in the kitchen he looked at
them both ‘what is wrong with them?’ he asked before following his
sister down the hall.
Invidia watched the kids go then joined Arty at
the table; she sighed and put her head down on her arms.
He gently placed his hand on her shoulder
“feeling any better?”
She nodded
“Tired?”
She lifted her head up “no” she told him. She
wasn’t tired just a little down, and still hurt.
“Well I guess you can’t be tired, you got up
before noon.”
Invidia hit him in the back of his head.
“I had that coming” he said.
“What are we gonna do?” Invidia asked.
“About what?”
“General Turpis! I want him dead! He needs to
just get over the fact that it isn’t my fault! Why does he have to take it on
me anyway?”
She this asked as tears formed in her eyes “I
just don’t know what to do anymore!” she put her head back on her arms and
wept.
“It’s all right, I’ll handle it” Arty told her.
Invidia looked up for a second “you will?”
“Yes, don’t worry about it.”
Living up to those words was easier than Arty
expected, later that afternoon he brought General Turpis over and was now with
him on the balcony.
“What the hell do you want?” Turpis asked.
Arty walked over to him and punched him in the
face “I want you to leave my wife alone!”
“Why? She deserves everything I do to her…”
Arty kicked him-hard “no she doesn’t! You’re
just a jealous **!”
“Why you…” Turpis stood up and punched Art
squarely in the jaw.
Arty got up after he had been knocked down-he
ignored the pain completely “Damn you” he muttered then he grabbed his kneck
and started to strangle him. “Leave her alone! I don’t care what you or anybody
else says! You’re nothing but a jealous bastard! A little kid who can’t get
over something that happened a long time ago! You turn your built up anger and
grief on Invidia…What the hell is your problem?!”
Turpis didn’t answer he took his arm and punched
Arty in the stomach; he loosened his grip, as Turpis took him and flipped him
onto the balcony. “Shut up who’s the really ** here?”
“Still you” Arty reached back and grabbed his
foot, Turpis fell backwards and Arty picked him up by his shirt, he held a
tight grip. “Now listen to me…If I ever hear of you laying another hand on my
Invidia…I will hunt you down and kill you” Arty stated fiercely, then he
reached up and punched him in the face-twice.
“Bastard” Turpis muttered as he fell, he ignored
the blood running down from his nose.
“Thanks, I know I am” Arty said right before his
boot met with Turpis’ butt. He grunted in pain. “Oh and a new word of advice if
you mess with my family you answer to me and this better the last time you face
me…” he picked him up and strangled him again, then pushed him up by the wall
next to the door. “Go to hell!” he tightened his grip and knocked Turpis out,
he watched him fall, then smiled. ‘That was long overdue’ he thought and
left him there, then he went back inside. Turpis may have hurt him too-but Arty
didn’t care it was minor and would go away soon.
“What happened to you?!” Invidia asked as she came
down the hallway; she wore a long silken black robe, and had her brush in her
hand.
“I told you I’d take care of him,” Arty said.
She looked out on the balcony and saw him
knocked out. “But what about you?”
“I’ll be fine, I got off easy, just a couple
bruises here and there at the most, and I can’t feel my arm.”
“Are you sure?” Invidia asked as he knelt next
to him.
Arty nodded as she took one of his arms in her
hand. “What are you...?”
“Can you feel this?” she pushed down on his left
arm.
“A little”
She did it again “this?”
He nodded.
“How about this?” she asked as she leaned in and
kissed him. “Thank you…” she whispered after it broke. Then she took his hand
and helped him up.
“So what we do about him when he gets up?” Arty
asked.
Invidia shrugged “I don’t care-as long as he
goes away.”
“He will” Arty made a move to hug her but she
moved.
“Don’t, you’re gonna hurt me.”
“Right…” he nodded then handed her the brush she
had dropped next to him.
“Anyway thanks…I guess I kind of owe you now
huh?”
“No.”
“Huh?” Invidia looked at him.
“You don’t owe me anything, I did it because I
love you and I was tired of seeing you get hurt, and mow that you’re not I’m
happy, and that’s what counts.”
Invidia smiled and ran into him; he hugged her
gently, being careful not to hurt her side.
“Thank you…really, I don’t know if I could have
faced him for much longer.”
“Don’t worry, you’ll be all right now” Arty
reassured as he kissed her head, he was glad that it was finally over, or at
least he hoped it would be.
